| As promised, the One Year Anniversary update. 
It all started last Wednesday when Alex told me to expect the first part of my present that night. I had not the slightest idea of what it would be, all I knew was that I had to meet up with him in the city at 630pm. Excited and clueless all day, we finally met up at MOS for a quick dinner, then to MANGO where Alex said we had to meet up with someone. By then my mind was running wild and I started thinking, "Maybe I'm gonna meet someone FAMOUS?!" Well, the person we were meeting up with was late (which gave me time to browse around and buy an adorable grey wrap-around cardigan hehe), but when she (Alex's friend, Daniella) finally showed up, the moment I saw her I knew what the surprise was! We were going to the taping of Wo Ai He Se Hui (this tv show Alex and I like to watch)!!!!!
When we got inside the studio, Alex also whipped out from his bag a surprise gift for me, a Hei Se Hui DVD, which he had thought I could get signed by all the girls...but we didn't end up staying until the end, as they tape 3 episodes in one night and by the time the 3rd episode started it was already getting really late. We did manage to catch a little bit of 183 Club on the show, and agreed that just as all the girls look EXACTLY the same in person, 183 Club also look JUST as gay in person too (sorry for any 183 Club fans, but c'mon, look at their ill-fitting white suits and basketball sneakers then try and argue with me).  Anyways, it was so much fun and such an awesome surprise!

As if Wednesday wasn't exciting enough, Friday was our actual one year and I was in the BEST of moods. I got to Alex's place at about 6pm, and we immediately swapped presents. Alex got to open my card and present first, which I'd stayed up til 4am the night before making and wrapping with FRAGILE tape (yes, cos I'm crazy hehe). I bought him a new black Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9, which he didn't expect at all...and I'm pretty sure he loved it. 
(L-R): I'm so proud of my wrapping, lol. "Hmm, I wonder what it could be..." "Wow it's a new camera!" The new T9. Back of the card I made. Check out the dinosaur stickers!
 
 
 
Soon after was MY turn. I was told to sit infront of his keyboard and close my eyes, then I felt him putting headphones over my ears and he was shuffling around as he kept shouting, "Don't look! Don't look! Keep your eyes closed!" Suddenly there was sound coming out of the headphones...and it was a song that he wrote for me!!! The song was really funny and I kept laughing as I heard more, then with the song still playing I opened my eyes, and infront of me was a card, a cd with our heads drawn on it, and a bouquet of a dozen pink roses and white freesias. [Awwww.] And okay, so what if the water in the bouquet started pouring out onto the keyboard, causing a bit of a frantic wipedown (oops!)...I still loved every bit of it.

We decided to have dinner at the Japanese restaurant where we had our very first date and somehow got seated at the exact same table we sat at that time! We shared a seafood sashimi salad, tenzaru soba, beef teriyaki, fried Japanese tofu, and deep fried baby crabs. Dinner was delicious as expected, and we got some good use out of Alex's new camera...
 
 
 
 
The night ended with us taking sticker photos and me beating Alex again at arcade hoops 116-111 (at least his score was a lot closer this time though)! Hehe.

So apparently there's a Haagen Dazs promo going on this month that if you take a photo infront of the few special Haagen Dazs trains that are currently running, you get a free scoop of ice cream when you buy two scoops. And we all know that I'm not gonna let a chance for some free ice cream just slip away! And so on Wednesday...
 
Hehe. Can't wait to go swap these for the free ice cream!!!
On that same day, Judith went with me to go buy Alex's present for our one year anniversary (separate entry on that coming soon!). Only we set aside way too much time to shop, so we decided on the best way to kill time...sticker photos!  And here's proof of our hour of fun:
